President Bush in Europe for D-Day

As protesters gathered in the streets of Rome today, Pope John Paul reminded President Bush he-s opposed to the war in Iraq and disturbed by the treatment of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib. He accepted America-s Medal of Freedom and asked God to bless America. This weekend, the President will commemorate the D-Day invasion with leaders of Europe, including France and Germany who opposed his Iraq invasion. He-ll ask their help, in part by claiming a link between his "War on Terror- and World War II.
