Tragic Plane Crash Kills Polish President and Other Top Leaders

The president, army chief of staff, security chief, national bank president, and members of parliament were among the 96 people killed in a plane crash on Saturday. Kaczynski's replacement and others are taking office as provided for in the constitution, and elections have been moved from October until June. Can Poland's young democracy continue to function? Piotr Kaczynski is a research fellow at the Center for European Policy Studies in Brussels.
