Much to their surprise, and that of many Californians, they got Bill Simon. We join two veteran political consultants for a look at Riordan's flawed campaign, the ideology of Bill Simon, and the contentious gubernatorial campaign that will precede November's general election. Superior Court Judge Ronald Kline, who faces child pornography charges, was forced into a runoff with one of 11 write-in candidates. But, says Peter Larsen of the Orange County Register, the big news is Measure W, designed to head off a commercial airport on the former El Toro Marine Base.
