Crude Corrosion

Hosted by

Federal investigators say corrosion had eaten away almost half the steel wall of the pipeline that ruptured last month and spilled more than 100,000 gallons of crude oil into the ocean off Santa Barbara. So far, they are not saying corrosion caused the disaster. Since the oil spill in Santa Barbara, tar balls have washed ashore in Ventura, Malibu, and the South Bay. Those beaches have re-opened. But now tar balls are being found on the coast of Long Beach. Are they related to the spill?
