Democrats, Republicans Blame Each Other on Budget Stall
Last week, Governor Schwarzenegger lost his first, big political fight when the state legislature failed to pass a budget to begin the new fiscal year. Now, he-s embroiled in a complicated struggle with Democratic legislators and local cities and counties, calling them -big spenders- out to -rob you blind.- To further confuse the picture, Democratic mayors Jim Hahn of Los Angeles and Jerry Brown of Oakland supported Schwarzenegger and campaigned with him over the weekend. This afternoon, the Governor again met with local leaders behind closed doors, leaving open the door to reaching agreement once again. Do voters have a right to be confused?
