Governor Brown Looks Forward…and Backward

Hosted by

Jerry Brown today combined this year's state-of-the-state speech with his fourth inaugural address as Governor of California.  He remembered that it was 56 years to the day since he saw his father, Pat Brown, sworn in to the same office. Brown himself has been Secretary of State and Attorney General.  He served two terms as Governor in the 1970's.  Since he won his unprecedented third term four years ago, he said there's been much progress -- but that many problems facing the state are the same as when his father held office.
