Union Station in downtown LA's being prepared to connect with high-speed rail. A Central Valley tomato Farmer says he's ready for the high-speed rail authority to pay him for moving his house. But how soon will those things really be necessary? Also, the last in Matt Holtzman's series on projects "Never Built" in Southern California. What would Santa Monica be now if an island resort had been constructed off shore and the Santa Monica Pier had been torn down?

On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, reformers across the political spectrum say America's over-stuffed prisons are too expensive, racially discriminatory and counter-productive. But hard-liners claim that crime is down because more criminals are behind bars. Meantime, is Attorney General Holder late to the gate when it comes to reforming the justice system?
