KCRW'S SPECIAL MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAMMING

"VOICES OF THE WEST": On Monday, May 25 from 1 to 2 pm (rebroadcast at 7 pm), KCRW (89.9 FM) will air special holiday programming: "Voices of the West - A Memorial Day Special." From the early pioneers to reminiscences of Woody Guthrie to family traditions, Voices of the West looks at our heritage and what we memorialize. Listen to a one-hour journey through the historic places and off-the-beaten-track lore of the West, as seen through the eyes, and told in the voices, of people whose roots in the American West run deep. Produced by Hal Cannon and Mary Beth Kirchner for PRI.
