Image-for-WWLA.jpgLA's world-class Museum of Contemporary Art is still in financial trouble, and LA County's Museum of Art has offered a $100 million merger.  Such a deal would be a bargain for LACMA, but could MOCA maintain its independence?  Will Eli Broad — with his own museum across the street from MOCA and a seat on both MOCA and LACMA boards — exercise veto power?  Will collaboration with Washington's National Gallery make a difference? Also, will the right-wing billionaire Koch brothers buy the Los Angeles Times? On our rebroadcast of today's To the Point, student aid and college failure. Is there a need for reform?
