Restraining Order Issued against Teachers' Union Strike

The United Teachers of Los Angeles planned a one-day work stoppage this coming Friday to protest layoffs and class size reductions. Superintendent Ramon Cortines called it “dangerous, illegal and irresponsible.” Today, a local judge issued a restraining order. Connie Llano writes on education for the Los Angeles Daily News .
