Dreamers' Protests Put Pressure on Obama, Congress

Hosted by

Nine young people — raised but not born in the United States — are being held in detention in Arizona. Frustrated by the failure of the so-called "DREAM Act" to grant them citizenship and unsatisfied by President Obama's offer of deferred deportation, they crossed into Mexico and then asked for the right to return on humanitarian grounds. Lizbeth Mateo, who was 10 when she was brought to the US, is a graduate of Cal State Northridge who's already told Santa Clara Law School she may not make classes on time.  Before crossing the border, she made a video statement.
