Instead of leaving the workforce at an age when most workers hang it up or get pushed out of their jobs, Scully has phased his retirement over a span of decades. Not all of us are given that choice, but Joe Mathews says it would make a lot of sense if more of us were. He says it's time to rethink the myriad rules and regulations that limit retirement options and deprive the workforce of some of its best minds.
