California’s war against the Trump administration on everything from the environment and immigration to healthcare (50 lawsuits and counting) may be righteous and necessary, but Zocalo Public Commentator Joe Mathews says it has a downside that is too often overlooked: The growth of state power in a one-party state. Power corrupts, and Mathews says it’s inevitable that our state leaders will eventually turn this creation against us.
