Ana Moura on KCRW

Portuguese fado singer Ana Moura performs live on my show this Sunday at 2 p.m.

She is a fast-rising star in the fado universe, just having completed a brilliant new cd, Para Alem do Saudade (Beyond Sadness). The Rolling Stones were so smitten by her sultry fados (archetypal Portuguese music form) that they recorded a version of their ballad “No Expectations” with her.

This is her debut KCRW performance.
