Australian electro-pop duo (Luke Steele & Nick Littlemore)

Formed in Sydney in 2007, Empire of the Sun is the collaborative project of Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jackson) and Nick Littlemore (Pnau). Their debut album Walking on a Dream (2008) became a global success, earning multiple ARIA Awards and platinum status in several countries. Known for their flamboyant stage personas and theatrical live performances, the duo blends synth-pop, new wave, and electronic dance music into a distinct sound and visual identity. Subsequent albums, including Ice on the Dune (2013) and Two Vines (2016), expanded their reputation as one of Australia’s most innovative and internationally recognized electronic acts.
