Like Grandmaster Flash, Stanley Kubrick and David Berkowitz, Julien Nitzberg was raised in the Bronx. Nitzberg produced and directed the documentary feature The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. This film about a family infamous for criminality and tap dancing was produced by Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine. He has also written scripts for HBO, AMAZON, SHOWTIME, TNT, USA and NBC. Most recently, he was a producer and writer on the animated documentary series Mike Judge Presents Tales From the Tour Bus. Nitzberg currently is adapting for television the book The Cornbread Mafia about the rise and fall of the largest marijuana syndicate in American history. He is also about to direct the Los Angeles premiere of a musical he wrote called For the Love of a Glove about the Amadeus/Salieri-like relationship that existed between Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond.
