American rock band from Nashville

Formed in 1999 by brothers Caleb, Nathan, and Jared Followill with cousin Matthew Followill, Kings of Leon rose from Southern garage rock beginnings to international superstardom. Their breakthrough came with Only by the Night (2008), which produced global hits “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody.” Known for electrifying live shows, the band has continued to evolve with albums like Mechanical Bull (2013) and When You See Yourself (2021). They remain one of America’s most enduring rock bands of the 21st century.
