What Ever Happened to the Jingle? “Foodmaxx, take it to the max, to maximize your shopping power food max...” Recognize that commercial? It’s one of a handful of jingles that remain in today’s mainstream consumer culture. Jingles were wildly popular in television commercials from the 1960s to the 1980s. Almost every commercial – from Pepsi, to Burger King, to Coke – seemed to have its own tune that would then get stuck in consumers’ heads. We find out what’s happened to the iconic jingle.
