Raw Milk Raw milk, meaning unpasteurized milk, is only legal in around half of all states. Here in California, there are a few farms that can sell raw milk to consumers after going through a rigorous health check on the milk. Now two proposed laws in Washington D.C. would make it legal to sell raw milk across state lines, but the bills are being hotly contested by mainstream agriculture and some health experts.
