Tana Yonas is a Los Angeles-based DJ, curator, and cultural storyteller whose work is driven by a lifelong passion for music discovery. A contributor to LA's beloved listening institution In Sheep's Clothing HiFi, she is internationally recognized for her immersive music talks, vinyl listening sessions, and deep explorations of global musical traditions.

With an ever-growing archive of records collected from dusty shops, flea markets, and chance encounters around the world, Tana approaches music as both a document of culture and a personal souvenir. Every record carries a story, whether uncovered in a faraway record store or heard drifting through the open window of a taxi on a distant street.

Beyond DJing, Tana is a creative producer who designs experiences that bring people together through curiosity, conversation, and shared listening. Her work reflects a belief that music has the power to transform strangers into community, creating meaningful moments of connection through thoughtful curation.

On KCRW, Tana's monthly program explores sounds from every corner of the globe, connecting listeners with underrepresented artists, overlooked classics, and emerging movements through rich historical context and a discerning ear for discovery. Each episode invites audiences to travel across cultures, decades, and genres, revealing the stories that make the world's musical landscape so endlessly fascinating.
