    Artwashing and Gentrification in Boyle Heights

    The East LA neighborhood of Boyle Heights has become the latest flashpoint in the debate over gentrification and rising home prices. Activists are targeting art galleries for catalyzing gentrification and displacement of long-time tenants, to be replaced by folks from other parts of the Southland who are being priced out of their neighborhoods.
