Designing the 911 Memorials
After many weeks of anticipation, Daniel Libeskind has been chosen as architect of the World Trade Center site. A quieter competition has taken place to find a designer for the Pentagon Memorial, to honor the 184 lives lost there on September 11. On a completely different note, a new exhibit at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum spotlights the works of the late Los Angeles designer Saul Bass, who influenced generations with his artful, animated titles and movie posters.
