The long-vacant, fenced-off lot at First Street and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles will soon be developed into a two-acre public park, next door to Grand Park. Mia Lehrer + Associates, architecture practice OMA and innovation and design firm IDEO won a competition to design a shaded, green space with lots of food.
