Check this out.

This is KCRW’s logo before last (my favorite). DnA’s Caroline Chamberlain said, “It’s so public radio.” Our interactive producer Brandon Nightingale had this to say: “It looks like someone wrote an algorithm to randomize the placement, size, and typeface and just let it run.”

And here’s our logo from before Caroline and Brandon were born! Brandon says: “There’s a very Winnie-the-Pooh ennui about it – the child’s balloon that got away – I can hear Eeyore now, “Oh darn, I lost my balloon again.”

That or it’s just plain depressing: Santa Monica’s skyline post-tsunami.”
