It’s the culmination of a year of research he’s been doing on the Jewish imprint on LA’s built environment. The journey starts in the mid-1800s and travels from downtown and East LA to the Fairfax District, West LA and the San Fernando Valley; and features enterprising builders and architects, from Joseph Newmark, Eli Broad and Yuval Bar-Zemer to Richard Neutra, Gregory Ain and Frank Gehry.
