    New construction and escalating land values across downtown LA have unforeseen consequences. For example, The Smell, a much-loved all-ages music venue, which has hosted noise, punk and experimental concerts for 17 years, was threatened with closure this May. The news sparked outrage mixed with anxiety that not all of the changes downtown are for the better. DnA producer Avishay Artsy has the story.
