Self-driving cars move forward, with roadblocks
As Uber investigates last week’s fatal crash in Tempe, Arizona involving a self-driving car, the company has decided to pull its application to test self-driving cars on California streets.
Uber is pulling its application to renew its permit for testing autonomous vehicles cars on California streets.
A required communication link between the vehicle and the remote operator, and between the vehicle and law enforcement.
Evidence the vehicle is equipped with an autonomous vehicle data recorder, to detect and respond to roadway situations in compliance with California Vehicle Code,
And the vehicle has to meet current industry standards to help defend against, detect and respond to cyber-attacks, unauthorized intrusions or false vehicle control commands.
