Spotlight on Frank Gehry and Eli Broad

This is a big month for two of LA’s longtime citymakers: the architect Frank Gehry and businessman-philanthropist Eli Broad. Eli Broad’s much-anticipated museum, The Broad , will open to the public -- and so will ‘ Frank Gehry ,' a retrospective at LACMA of the architect’s long career.

This is a big month for two of LA’s longtime citymakers: the architect Frank Gehry and businessman-philanthropist Eli Broad. Eli Broad’s much-anticipated museum,The Broad, will open to the public -- and so will ‘Frank Gehry,' a retrospective at LACMA of the architect’s long career. It coincides with the publication of a biography -- and a life achievement medal from the Getty. These sound like the honors given to a man in the sunset of his career -- except that Frank is busy with new projects, including his surprise involvement with the LA River.
