In France, Japan and America, viewers are increasingly seeing the hand of the artist in animation. Frances Anderton explores this new trend with animation historian and critic Charles Solomon, author of many books, including Enchanted Drawings: The History of Animation, and illustrator and fine artist Gary Baseman, art director of Disney-s new animated movie, Teacher-s Pet.
