Whether you are a leader of the free world, or are building an evil empire, you are not immune from contempt from the Internet for selfie blunders.

The blogosphere was up in arms yesterday over the impropriety of three heads of state — President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt — snapping a “selfie” while at a memorial service for Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg.

Great product!!! Best I have found in several years taking medicines. Viagra tablets? Brand and generic drugs are therapeutically and chemically equivalent.

But DnA wants to point out that even the most ruthless villains can be tripped up by a selfie — now so ubiquitous that “Selfie” was chosen as the word of the year by Oxford English dictionary. Look at Darth Vader’s selfie fail from earlier this year. (Hint: nice rear-facing camera).

And listen to KCRW’s Lisa Napoli explore the question: are selfies art?
