X-Men: Apocalypse
Enormous going on keep going on, and on, in X-Men: Apocalypse. It's a collection of explosions, eruptions and conflagrations that looks like the implosion of a franchise. This is disappointing, but also surprising.

Still, this episode is going to drive a deep wedge between the hardcore fans and less-invested movie-goers who expect a superhero sage to offer something more than incessant talk about power and recycled images of global destruction that don't convey the slightest trace of feeling.
