There's been another clash in the cable/satellite provider versus content creator wars. This time it's Direct TV and Viacom. Twenty million households subscribe to Direct TV and currently they are all living without channels like Comedy Central, MTV, BET and Nickelodeon. Subscribers are up in arms upset with their provider, but behind the dispute the villain isn't so clear. Viacom wants Direct TV to pay more for its channels, but Direct TV wants to keep the pricing down and refuses to pay. Kim and John wonder if this is all heading towards a day when there could be a la carte pricing of channels.
