Emmy nominations are out and HBO is back on top for now.

HBO is once again on top with 137 Emmy nominations, temporarily dethroning Netflix which nabbed 117 and bested HBO last year. But, can HBO keep it up, or will this year be the network’s swan song? Newcomer comedies like ‘Fleabag’ and ‘Schitt’s Creek’ were also recognized along with perennial ‘Veep’. And the documentary categories had several impactful series and several interesting but also slightly bizarre matchups including ‘Surviving R. Kelly,’ going up against ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’.
