Emmy nominations: HBO and Netflix dominate

This year's Emmy nominations show the dominance of streaming TV. HBO led the pack, but Netflix was right on its heels. Hulu, which had critical success with The Handmaid's Tale, also did well.

HBO garnered the most Emmy nominations this year, but streaming service Netflix was right on its heels. Netflix has had a slate of critically acclaimed shows, including critic's favorite, Stranger Things and Master of None. In a year ripe with political comedy, Saturday Night Live was a favorite of that genre, with 22 nominations. Drama, Westworld also got 22 nominations.
