Post 'Game of Thrones,' can HBO still be HBO?

Winter is finally coming. HBO had its premiere party for the final season of 'Game of Thrones,' the most popular show on TV. But after the season ends, will HBO subscribers say so long?

HBO was very patient with the very expensive series 'Game of Thrones.' And it paid off--the series is TV's biggest hit. But now that the series begins its final season and HBO now belongs to AT&T, will its corporate owners be as generous towards new series? There are four successor series to 'Game of Thrones' in development, but those are still a ways a way from actually making it to the screen. In the meantime, 'Game of Thrones' fans are liable to unsubscribe from HBO. And on the comedy side, 'Veep' is also coming to an end. There's fear in the industry that WarnerMedia will now push HBO for quantity over quality.
