    A West LA Area Gets a New Ethnic Designation

    A West LA area gets a new ethnic designation, while the future of a La Cienega diner gets murkier. Two development stories of interest in a couple of neighborhoods across the city that's brought people together.

    The West Los Angeles area many people have called Little Osaka has gotten a new name. The City of Los Angeles has designated it Sawtelle/Japantown. However, in a neighborhood near the Beverly Center, a diner's days seem numbered. A developer has bought the land and the architecturally-interesting building that is home to Norm's Restaurant. Despite a huge campaign to save it, according to the latest comments, that building may be in trouble.
