    Palm Trees - Love 'Em or Hate 'Em?

    Just a couple of weeks ago, Angelenos celebrated the Fourth of July by illegally shooting off fireworks. And often, these displays of patriotism and pyromania often turn into cases of arson and destruction. Among the victims of these fires were palm trees – 55 all together, according to fire officials.

    Just a couple of weeks ago, Angelenos celebrated the Fourth of July by illegally shooting off fireworks. And often, these displays of patriotism and pyromania often turn into cases of arson and destruction. Among the victims of these fires were palm trees – 55 all together, according to fire officials. But instead of talking about why the trees burned, or the psychology of the need to light or blow something up, we’re going to talk about the palm trees themselves. Kevin Roderick is with us for this week’s LA Observed.
