Trash in the Streets

According to a new Los Angeles City report, the problem of trash on the streets has gotten so bad, it's threatening the Los Angeles brand and quality of life

It's a bit early for spring cleaning, and yet that's apparently what a lot of Angelenos are doing – getting rid of old furniture, appliances and other junk, and leaving it on the street. According to a new Los Angeles City report, the problem of trash on the streets has gotten so bad, it's threatening the Los Angeles brand and quality of life, and LA officials are fielding a growing number of calls from the public about trash in the streets. Are things really as bad as they sound? Joining KCRW's Eric Roy with more is Kevin Roderick, editor of LA Observed.
