Undoing Pension Plan Cuts

Just when you thought public employee pensions in LA were getting scaled back to allow the city to get a better financial handle on them, comes word that the scaling-back won’t be happening -- at least for now. In a story published over the weekend by David Zahniser in the LA Times, a proposed four-year salary agreement with the Coalitionof LA City Unions calls for the council to abandon that pension plan passed three years ago. Kevin Roderick, editor of LA Observed, joins KCRW's Steve Chiotakis to discuss the news.
