About the Collaboration

KCRW collaborated with LACMA to create a series of site-specific listening experiences for the David Geffen Galleries, bringing together music, architecture, and the surrounding city. The project includes Currents, a custom mix tracing Los Angeles’ diverse musical voices in dialogue with the galleries, alongside a special bench installation featuring Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe’s Big Empty Country (LACMA Edit). Together, these works invite visitors to experience the museum through sound—transforming movement, stillness, and observation into a shared, immersive journey.
