Hillary Goes for the Kill

Clinton says Trump should not be trusted to have a hand on the nuclear button. Paul Ryan endorses him. And Trump says a judge is too Mexican.

Hillary Clinton gives a powerful speech listing reasons she believes Donald Trump would be a dangerous president. Will the new approach break through with voters? Should Hillary Clinton be behaving as the Democratic nominee for president? Bob Scheer thinks not and wants her to listen more to the progressive wing of the party. "People like Bob can get some people like me to support some progressive platform planks but not if they treat us like idiots and say we are passionate and don't understand things," Joan Walsh of the Nation said. Speaker Paul Ryan endorsed Trump after clear hesitation earlier in the campaign. Why are Republican Trump-doubters falling in line? "I hate to say it, but the partisan pull is extremely strong and is stronger than all other considerations apparently. And a lot of these guys are thinking about their own futures in the party and thinking of running in 2020," Rich Lowry said.

Josh Barro (Business Insider) moderates from the Center. Rich Lowry (National Review) is on the Right. On the Left, Robert Scheer (TruthDig.com). Our special guest is Joan Walsh (The Nation and MSNBC).
