As Josh Barro said, it's been a really sad and exhausting week, partially because people have been fighting over who the tragedy belongs to. Was Omar Mateen an Islamic radical? A self-loathing gay man? A male loser driven to shoot people out of rage at social rejection? A combination of all three? How can we make sense of such a horrific event? Juliette Kayyem, said "Omar Mateen was buying hate and ISIS was selling it." Will the gun control debate get anywhere? Rich Lowry said the only approach that would be effective would be a widespread ban coupled with confiscation. Lizz Winstead said of assault weapons, "We all say gun and we all say gun and we all say gun and they are killing machines."

Josh Barro (Business Insider) moderates from the Center. Rich Lowry (National Review) is on the Right. On the Left is Lizz Winstead (co-creator of The Daily Show). Juliette Kayyem (Host of the WGBH News podcast Security Mom) is our special guest.
