And to celebrate the phenomenal life of another influential artist, we’re sharing the iconic voice of recently departed actor James Earl Jones reciting the poetry of Walt Whitman’s “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd” — a poem which was written as an elegy following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.
