March 19 marks the tenth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War. Ten years later America Abroad asks what we have learned not just from the war in Iraq but also the war in Afghanistan which continues but is winding down. This program includes oral histories from soldiers on the ground, as well as reflections from General McChrystal and experts who debate counterinsurgency. Anchored by Madeleine Brand.
