Are Rumors of the OC GOP's Death Exaggerated?

Long known as a bedrock of Republican politics, the Orange County GOP has seen its voter registration numbers decline dramatically in the past decade. Analysts cite changing demographics and younger voters, along with an overall increase in decline-to-state voters, in fueling the trend. Nevertheless, Republicans continue to dominate county politics, with all five supervisors Republicans, all but one member of OC's congressional delegation Republican, all but one state senator GOP, and only two OC state assembly members Democrats. What keeps the OC GOP in power— and will that change anytime soon?
