Orange County residents have until Friday to offer feedback on a proposed year-round homeless shelter slated for a warehouse off the 91 Freeway in Anaheim — the county's first. Its strict regulations would include a six-month maximum stay, required appointments for anyone wishing to enter, and security guards roaming the facility to deter homeless from just showing up. But even these heightened measures haven't deterred business owners and residents from fighting the location — the third proposed after previous proposed spots in Santa Ana and Anaheim were successfully fought by activists. Will this one stick?
