    Color OC Restaurants Bad

    The push to make Orange County restaurants display restaurant safety ratings.

    Last week, the Orange County Board of Supervisors asked county staff to prepare a report that would recommend the OC Health Care Agency implement a color-coded ratings system for restaurants, much like the letter system used in Los Angeles County. The move comes after years of feet-dragging by supervisors, who claimed such a move was just government bureaucracy given the HCA already inspects restaurants and thus didn't have to offer grades. What made the Board of Supes change their mind, and why a color system?
