    Yesterday was the last-ever service held at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove by a ministry that fundamentally changed American Christianity thanks to its founder, Robert H. Schuller. What was once a juggernaut of Jesus and a Southern California icon due to its campus and extravagant television and stage shows is now reduced to shambles, the Schuller family pushed out after helping to drive America's first mega-church into bankruptcy. What does the saga of the Crystal Cathedral say about Orange County and what lessons can it teach the rest of Southern California's mega-churches?
