Last week, PBSocal announced it was finishing the 16-year run of Real Orange, the only television or radio show in Southern California devoted to covering OC. Execs only said they were moving in another direction as they seek to become the PBS station of Southern California instead of just Orange County. The loss leaves OC with nearly no media presence in the Southland outside the county, and comes months after an OC grand jury report cited the lack of media coverage as one of the reasons corruption is so rampant. Will any other station step up?
