    Schroeder vs the Voice of OC

    Last week, OC District Attorney spokesperson Susan Kang Schroeder took the extraordinary step of issuing a press release attacking the Voice of OC, a nonprofit news website. She claimed that a reporter had misquoted her on a story, but the incident was nothing new to Schroeder, who has long attacked members of the OC press corp for what she feels is inaccurate or unfair stories about the DA's office. Such combative behavior might come back to haunt her, as rumors have long maintained OC DA Tony Rackauckas wants Schroeder to succeed him. Is Schroeder's back-and-forth with the press expected—or just sour grapes?
